Welcome and thank you for visiting my webpage.  My name is Mrs. Gwendolyn Green.  I am a third grade teacher at Marion Intermediate School.

Education Background

I earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Elementary Education from Francis Marion University.  I have studied at various colleges and universities throughout my career.

Most of my education has been spent in the second grade classroom at Easterling Primary School.  I taught second grade for 31 years.  I love that grade and my heart remains with second grade. 

This will be my fifth year teaching at Marion Intermediate School as a third grade teacher.  This will be my second year teaching all subjects in third grade. 

The change from second grade to third grade has been a positive one.  I am looking forward to continued success and happiness this school year.

Personal Background

I am a native of Marion, South Carolina.  I attended school in the city of Marion and graduated from Marion High School.

I am married to Woodrow Green.  He is also a native of Marion.  We have three lovely daughters, Mary-Catherine, Martina (David), and Cana and two granddaughters, Sha’Marri and Guinever.  I have one loving sister, Debbie, and one caring brother, Charles.

Education Beliefs

As you can see, I have been in the teaching field for many years.  Each year I have learned and loved.  I am proud to say that I can survive and keep our young generation smart during the changes we are going through with teaching and learning.  I have always believed that each child should feel success daily.  I continue to take that with me wherever I go.
