Degrees and Certifications:

Karen Binns-Faircloth

I am the new instructional coach, Karen Binns-Faircloth. I joined Marion County after retiring from NC, getting married, and moving to Mullins. I have a Bachelor of Arts degree in Elementary Ed K-6 from St. Andrews Presbyterian University, a Master of Arts in Elementary Education from the University of North Carolina at Pembroke, and an Add-On Administrative Licensure for K-12 from Wingate University. I am Nationally Board Certified in Middle Childhood Generalist. For 32 years, I have been a teacher for all grades K-5; an instructional coach for middle school and elementary schools, and most recently, District Lead for Randolph County School System in ELA and Social Studies.
I have always loved teaching and learning! I am excited to be part of the MCSD and the community, and hope to help make a difference in the lives of our students!
“Teaching is a noble profession that shapes the character, intellect, and souls of future generations.” -St. Elizabeth Ann Seton
