    Counseling Services  

    Mission Statement: It is our mission to provide a safe environment where students can talk about their feelings and concerns; As well as receive support with developing healthy relationships and building a positive self-concept.

    Individual Counseling Support Is offered to students needing to talk with a counselor in confidence about a personal and social problem as well as a crisis matter.

     ➢ Group Counseling Is available to allow small groups of students who have similar problems to discuss those issues in a group setting.

    Classroom Guidance Is provided as needed on topics such as bullying, study skills, and career planning.

     ➢ Consultation Services provided for students, parents, and/or teachers to discuss strategies to meet the student’s needs.

    Referrals are made to agencies when students and their families need additional support.

    Career Guidance is available to all students consisting of computer-based career interest assessments, that students may use to research career opportunities.

    We conduct IGP Conferences with every 8th grade student and a parent or designee. The IGP, Individual Graduation Plan, is a written plan that guides students towards their education, career, and employment goals.

     ➢ We conduct Goal Setting Conferences with each 6th and 7th grade student and a parent to discuss their academic/career goals.
