I earned a BA in Elementary Education from the University Of South Carolina (Coastal) and a Masters in Instructional Accomodations from Francis Marion University. I am certified in Early Childhood and Elementary Edcuation. I am also a certified Reading Recovery Teacher through Clemson University. I am beginning my 27th year of teaching in Marion County. I have had the pleasure of the The Teacher of the Year at Rains-Centenary Elementary in 2003 and Britton's Neck Elementary in 2014.

I love spending time with my family, going to the beach, and teaching children how to read.
