Mrs. Allen is a 25+ year veteran of education. She has taught in various counties across the Pee Dee where she has served in various capacities as committee and department chairperson.   As a graduate of Morris College of Sumter, South Carolina with a Bachelors of Degree in English Education, she has done further studies at Francis Marion University, University of South Carolina, College of Charleston, Walden University, and most recently the University of California-Irvine where she has earned various certificates in Virtual Instruction. She is an official American College Testing (ACT) Certified Coach of ACT Basics, Reading and English. 

In her spare time Mrs. Allen participates in a variety of community organization activities that assist in meeting the needs of local children. She is on the Parent Teacher Association of her childs school and an active member of the local  Palmetto State Literacy Association. She actively participates in other civic organizations and a number of activities within her church. She enjoys traveling having visited every state in the United States and has traveled to Mexico, Canada and most recently Greece. Her greatest joy is spending time with her family and walking her dog Apollo.

Mrs. Allen was recognized as Marion County’s Teacher of the Month in January 2020 and honored as the Success Academy’s 2019-20 Teacher of the Year.
