On Monday, August 7th, Marion High School hosted a varsity football scrimmage against North Myrtle Beach High School.  As a fundraiser, all proceeds from ticket sales were donated to the Back Pack Buddy program of Marion County, which is an extension of the ministries of Friendship Baptist Church of Gresham.  As well, two canned food items could be donated in place of ticket sales.  At the close of the evening, $1000 and more than 500 canned food items were donated.
