Da’Mauze James Recognized as the Eaddy Outstanding Graduate at the Academy for Careers and Technology for 2021

Da’Mauze James, a senior completer from Marion High School, has been named the 2021 Sanford Eaddy Outstanding Graduate at the Academy for Careers and Technology.  Da’Mauze is a completer in the Mechatronics program and has maintained an ‘A’ average through all of his courses at the Academy for Careers and Technology.  His great grades gained him membership into the National Technical Honor Society during the spring semester. Da’Mauze had previously been named a junior marshal at Marion High School during his junior year.  His instructor, Mr. Cecil Gainey, said “that during lab time he was the first to start and last to finish because he wanted it perfect.  He was also the first to help other classmates.” Da'Mauze plans to attend Francis Marion University in the fall and major in computer science.  This award, named for longtime and retired associate director Mr. Sanford Eaddy, embodies these qualities: integrity, grace, and compassion.  Da’Mauze James meets all of these qualities along with his perseverance to work hard every day. Congrats to Da’Mauze James, the 2021 Eaddy Outstanding Graduate.
