PERSONAL & PROFESSIONAL BIOGRAPHY

As a child, I took advantage of every opportunity to learn, and with the knowledge that I gained, I realized that I could make a difference in the world someday. However, changing the world seemed like such a major undertaking, and I wondered how I could possibly impact the world in which I live. Little did I know that God's plan for my life was already in motion, and one day I would begin to make my mark on the world by living the purpose that He (not I) had set for my life. I would not find a cure for cancer or put an end to world hunger. I would not become a heart surgeon that saved thousands of lives, and I would not become a scientist that would put a whole new spin on "E=MC2". However, I would become someone on whom all other "successful" professions in the world would depend. I would become a teacher-one who vowed to make sure that every child who entered my classroom would learn the importance of a quality education and how using the knowledge gained through that education could help them achieve their dreams-dreams that might lead to a cure for cancer, solutions to world hunger, life-saving medical techniques, or new scientific theories to benefit mankind. I firmly believe that if I impart a bit of wisdom, give words of encouragement, and make learning as interesting as possible for my students, I have accepted God's purpose for my life, and every day I am impacting the world-one student at a time.

PERSONAL PHILOSOPHY

"With the right name, you can sometimes get by in life; with the right connection, you can sometimes get through in life; with the right money, you can sometimes get over in life, but with the right education, you can get anywhere in life."

When it comes to teaching, my philosophy has always been that "education" is the key to success in life because it opens the door of "opportunity" for anyone who is self-motivated enough to diligently pursue the greater range of employment options made available as a result of it.
