Ms. Carol Hardy
My name is Carol Hardy. I am a Mullins native and Mullins High School graduate. I graduated from Coker College with a bachelor's degree in Elementary Education in 2004. I began my teaching career at Palmetto Middle School where I taught ELA for several years before transitioning to McCormick Elementary school where I taught all subjects. I completed my master's degree in reading and literacy K-6 in 2015. In 2018, I began teaching math and science. The McCormick school faculty nominated me teacher of the year for the 2019-2020 school year!
I love teaching math and helping students gain number sense and operations abilities. Science subjects are always exciting, as we explore plants, animals, land shapes, the oceans, mixtures and solutions, as well as caring for our environment partnered with Take Action SC. This year we are experiencing a new science curriculum with The Smithsonian Science Institute and Carolina Science Online. Students will engage in experiments designed to help them learn how to solve real-world problems.
I am very excited to be a part of the Mustang Family.
