Mrs. Sharron Crowner
Greetings Staff, Parents, and Community,
We have entered into another wonderful and adventurous school year. I am truly honored and excited to serve you and the community as Principal of North Mullins Primary. As your Principal, it is my endeavor to maintain focus on learning for both students and staff, and to inspire and encourage others to embrace life fully. My desire and goal is that students, staff, parents and community will continue to be partners in the learning process. As a team, we will work to ensure that every child reaches a high level of success. I believe that with the uniqueness that NMP have, we can establish equity and excellence within our community and school. NMP has a strength of being collaborative and sharing a common goal for the benefit of all students. As we work together, we can ensure that every child will reach a high level of success. I truly believe in focusing on the positive and redirecting the negative. My focus, is to make sure all staff, parents, and students are treated with the utmost respect. This will reveal high expectations and a standard of excellence within our school and community.
My educational career began 31 years ago. I worked as a Head Start teacher for 9 years before becoming a teacher in the public school setting in Marion County. I began my teaching career at Marion Intermediate School in Marion School District One, as a third grade teacher. I taught third grade for eleven years. I became an assistant principal at Marion Intermediate School for 6 years. I was assistant principal at Johnakin Middle School for one year, and assistant Principal at Creek Bridge High School for two years. During the time I was assistant principal I had the honor of serving as Interim Principal at Marion Intermediate School and Britton’s Neck Elementary School. My experience as a teacher and assistant principal was very rewarding. As we move into the 2020-2021school year, let’s embrace it with the Marion County direction of preparing all students to live, work effectively, and responsibly within our society. Our purpose is to educate, prepare and inspire students to be productive citizens in a changing global society. My doors are always open and you are always welcome.
Again, I am grateful to be a part of this awesome staff, school and community. We are the school where “Learning is an adventure.” We work hard, we dream big and we believe.
Have an awesome year!
