Bachelors degree in Education with a double major in Mathematics
Miss Rachelle Hayden
Hello everyone! It is a pleasure to be part of this institution. I am a trained Mathematics Educator from the beautiful island of Jamaica. I have been teaching for approximately 8 years. I strongly believe that every child can learn differently. I currently hold a bachelor's degree in education with a double major in mathematics and am currently pursuing a master's degree in Mathematics Education. I was also trained by the Jamaica Teaching Council to manipulate Google Suite in order to enhance virtual teaching and learning. I also received certification in Pedagogical Strategies for the Development of Critical Thinking from OAS/ITEN (The Inter-American Teacher Education Network).
My teaching is based on the belief that the best way to learn Mathematics is to make it relatable to real-life experiences, and each child's learning style must be catered to. My aim is to reduce the negative perception students may have of Mathematics. I aim to do so by making learning fun and meaningful. My goal in teaching is also to help students think logically and develop their problem-solving techniques so that they can function in the real world.
