Mr. Tom Doyle
My name is Tom Doyle and I am happy to be sharing my love of biology with the students at Mullins High School. I have a Bachelor of Science in Biology from the State University of New York at Binghamton and a Master of Business Administration from Heriot-Watt University.
After college, I spent a few years as a fisheries biologist for Peace Corps/Ecuador where I taught aquaculture to farmers and ran a fish hatchery. Later, I worked for National Marine Fisheries aboard commercial fishing vessels in the Bering Sea. I went back to Ecuador for 6 more years to run a 200 hectare aquaculture operation. We produced millions of pounds of Pacific White Shrimp (Pennaus vannamei) each year. I later worked as regional manager for AZON Corporation and conducted training courses for customers for 18 years.
My wife and I have been married for 28 years. We have 3 kids. Our two boys are US Air Force veterans.
I am very much looking forward to this school year. Each of the students at Mullins High School has tremendous potential to be successful in their chosen careers. A good education in the sciences can be a great start to big things in the future.
