Mrs. Renee Odom

Hi, I am Renee Odom, and am very excited to be at the Academy of Early Learning this year!  I graduated from Winthrop College with a Bachelor of Science degree in Special Education - Multicategorical.  When my husband and I moved to Mullins (26 years ago), I became a stay-at-home mom for 19 years. While home, I was a very active parent volunteer, served on multiple school organizations, volunteered many years with the Son Fun Community Vacation Bible School, served as a substitute teacher, also served as a local school board member for 2 years in the Mullins area.  I have also completed graduate course work at Francis Marion University.

My husband and I have 3 grown children, and a wonderful grandson!  I am very active with the youth ministry in my church.  In my spare time, I enjoy hiking in the Upstate viewing waterfalls, exploring state parks, photography,  and playing the violin in church.  I love spending time with my family and I love Clemson football.

I have two wonderful assistants, Ms. Jackie Davis, and Mrs. Sharon Reaves who have been working at AEL for many years.

Ms. Davis is the mother of two children and the proud grandmother of four.  She enjoys walking her dog and taking care of house plants.

Ms. Sharon Reaves is also one of the nurses at our school.  She and her husband have two children and three grandchildren.  She enjoys crafting, selling jewelry, and spending time with her family.

Ms. Jackie and Ms. Sharon are wonderful with the students, so very creative, and love to see the students learn, as well!  This year, in our class, our theme is "Exploring our World in 4K."  I can promise you, your child will be exploring music, dance, books, colors, shapes, and so much more!  We are so excited and are looking forward to a wonderful year!
